Development Coordinator – College of Letters and Science / Intercollegiate Athletics

The UW Foundation, the private fundraising entity for the UW-Madison, is seeking an experienced administrative professional to support several Development Directors working on behalf of the College of Letters and Science and Intercollegiate Athletics. This position will work as part of a team that is responsible for planning and executing all facets of the development programs. The Development Coordinator also has significant contact with faculty and staff, alumni and other donors to the University.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Development Directors.
  • Draft and review letters and other documents.
  • Use a variety of software tools to manage data and create reports.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Process expense reports.
  • Create and maintain electronic files and records systems.
  • Respond to information inquiries made by UWF colleagues, University faculty/staff, donors and alumni.
  • Investigate and resolve gift fund record keeping issues as they arise.
  • Suggest and continually improve processes for effective office management.
  • Assist in planning and executing donor events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school graduate required. Post high school training, college degree, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an office setting.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of organizational behavior, excellent oral and written skills and high degree of office management/administrative skill. Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact well with people of diverse backgrounds; strong team building skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience required. Database skills preferred. Ability to learn and use other computer programs.
This is a full-time, 37.5-hour/week position, with a starting salary range of $30,000 - $34,000 annually, reporting to a Director of Development, Intercollegiate Athletics / Regional.
