Caring for Body and Mind: Women's Health Series 2009

About the Series

Women such as cancer survivor Cheryl Rosen Weston inspired the Women’s Philanthropy Council to host its inaugural Women’s Health Series: Caring for Body and Mind.

“I was absolutely asymptomatic when my cancer was diagnosed,” said Weston, who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. “If I had not turned up for that routine physical, I would be long dead. Successful treatment is directly correlated to early detection. Ladies – get your physicals.” Weston, CEO of Douglas Stewart Co. and a member of the Women’s Philanthropy Council, will emcee the series.

We understand that women care deeply about their health and invite you to continue the conversation about your concerns in three evenings with three of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s women’s health experts. They will share the latest research on women’s health issues, suggest practical tips to improve wellness and answer your questions.
