My gifts stem from a dual sense of gratitude, to the University itself for all it has done for me, and to this program for its work with developing nations and the people who live in those places.

Women’s Philanthropy Council

Make a Gift to the Women’s Philanthropy CouncilFounded in 1988 as the Council on Women's Giving, the Women's Philanthropy Council has pioneered new national standards for women as philanthropists. The Council is the first major gift organization for women at a co-ed educational institution.

The Council leads activities designed to bring more women into volunteer leadership roles and to secure major gifts from women philanthropists and their families.

The chair of the Council serves ex-officio on the UW Foundation Board of Directors for one non-renewable three-year term. The current chair is Doris Weisberg, New York, New York.
